Get In the Gym and Learn How to Train

February 23, 2015[email protected]Fitness

By: Anthony Campo

One thing I have come to learn working in the training business is that people love to talk about training. Many individuals will spend week after week, month after month talking about coming to the gym. I encounter many people that will ask pretty involved questions in regards to coming to the gym and training. Sometimes it seems as if they want me to teach them everything I know on a particular topic in a five minute conversation before they even step foot in a gym. There comes a time when you just need to get in the gym, and realize your issues are not going to be solved overnight. Anybody who is serious about achieving success with health and fitness, needs to take the time to learn how to do things right for the long term.
Even in the gym many people like to ask a variety of questions which is perfectly fine, and I love to help people who are truly interested in trying to improve themselves. The problem is that too many times they cut me off before I have even answered the question, and start with another question. Sometimes the answer requires more work than they are willing to dedicate, so they just stop listening or ignore the advice anyway.
So it comes down to this… Stop talking and get your butt in the gym, and once you are in the gym, be a sponge and take the time to learn how to train. If you follow these simple steps I guarantee results will soon follow.
