Writing for Success

July 5, 2015[email protected]Fitness

By: Anthony Campo

I recently stumbled upon something that has helped me achieve success with my fitness goals. Strange enough it has been writing this very blog. When training for a meet, I have specific goals I want to achieve. I found myself beginning to write blogs describing how my competitions went ahead of time. I found that it helped me to stay focused and ease my nerves. In doing this, the day of my competition felt like something I had already experienced and succeeded in. I was talking about this with one of my clients when it occurred to me that I might have discovered a very helpful tool for success. They always say visualizing yourself succeeding helps, so how about writing about your successes ahead of time?
Aristotle: “First, have a definite, clear, practical ideal; a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends: wisdom, money, materials, and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end.” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/frank-niles-phd/visualization-goals_b_878424.html
Physics tells us that all time in the past, future, and present has already happened. So let’s act on this. If you have a goal to achieve, sit down and write from a future perspective explaining your success and how you did it. This could very well be the force needed to keep you on track and hit any goal or objective that you want.
