Best Advice If You’re Injured

By: Anthony Campo

Too many times individuals have a defeatist attitude when an injury occurs. Though the goal is never to be injured, injury can end positively if you take that time to learn what caused the injury and how to prevent others from occurring in the future. Injuries are usually a time bomb many months/years in the making. Though the injury might have just occurred, the root cause may have been slowing down your progress for a long time. Correcting these root causes can lead to new levels of progress once you have recovered.

Advice

– Be proactive: This means taking advantage of the time you are injured to work on other areas you might have been ignoring. Explore various recovery methods such as physical therapy and massage therapy to see what works best for you. Don’t just sit around and wait to feel better, stay active and you will heal much faster.

– Get educated: Learn the root causes of your injury and fix faulty mechanics and muscle imbalances that led to the injury in the first place. You will be surprised to learn how an area far away from the injury might actually be responsible.

– Do Not Let it Define You: If you work hard then injuries are bound to occur. How you attack being injured and your ability to take the necessary steps in order to bounce back are much more important in defining your character than the injury itself.
